Free Alphabet Printables: 52 Typography Worksheets for your Design-minded Kindergartener

With the nation’s children stuck at home, parents are looking for ways to keep their kids busy. It’s especially hard with preschoolers and kindergarteners because their school assignments don’t come close to filling up as much time as they were spending at school before #QuarantineLife. These free alphabet printables can help.

Many years ago, Son was little and fascinated by all the different kinds of fonts and how each letter looked so different. He enjoyed looking through my copy of The Type Specimen Book from college, and trying to copy some of the fonts.

At the same time, I noticed that picture books do not necessarily stick to easy-to-read fonts. Plus, I really needed to find ways to keep him more busy. As a homeschool mom, designer, and typophile, it seemed only natural for me to combine his love of fonts and my educational goals together into a series of 52 worksheets.

Recently, my husband dug these out for colleagues trying this “school from home” thing for the first time. He received so much expression of gratitude he suggested I share them for the world.

So, without further ado, I present you with my Free Alphabet Printables for your own, little, type-loving kid.
